๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Gawang Pinoy! Engineering Design Competition

Basura Wheel Student Hero โ€” A Philippine Engineering Contest for a true Pinoy solution to ocean plastic.

We Need You!

Not your money โ€” but your expertise and your contacts. During the pandemic this came to a halt. We want to revitalize the concept of a Philippine Engineering Contest to create a true pinoy solution. Make the Philippines proud again!

The General Idea

To create a blueprint for how a PINOY implementation of the Boston "Mr. Trash Wheel" could look like. Use clever engineering solutions with local materials โ€” even junk. The model picture shows the use of old plastic barrels for the waterwheel.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Mass Communication working hand in hand in this exciting country-wide contest. We tackle with high-end AI tools the challenges of transportation costs for valuable recyclables.
